At UFC Vegas 105, another two undefeated fighters experienced their first professional losses.
In 2025 alone, twenty UFC fighters have now lost their undefeated status, including former title contenders like Umar Nurmagomedov and Tatiana Suarez.
Previously undefeated fighters Uran Satybaldiev and Luis Gurule competed on the undercard of UFC Vegas 105. While Torrez Finney maintained his undefeated record through wrestling, Satybaldiev and Gurule were not as fortunate.

Ode Osbourne Stops 10-0 Luis Gurule at UFC Vegas 105
Gurule, aged 31, joined the UFC after competing on Dana White’s Contender Series in October. His debut fight was against UFC veteran Ode Osbourne in the flyweight division.
Osbourne is known for his fast starts, but in the first round, Gurule controlled the fight on the ground. However, the second round belonged to ‘The Jamaican Sensation’.
Osbourne, who had lost his last three fights, fought with urgency, knocking Gurule out with a powerful left hand as Gurule moved in the air.
Osbourne is also remembered for stunning Ronaldo Rodriguez at UFC 306 last year. In that fight, Osbourne went for a quick finish but ultimately lost by decision.
This time, Osbourne paused briefly before attacking Gurule with ground strikes, securing a TKO victory in the second round.
Was Ode Osbourne`s Victory a Reality Check for the Undefeated Fighter?
Before their UFC debut, Gurule was a significant betting favorite at -250 against Osbourne. Gurule entered the fight with a perfect 10-0 record, while Osbourne had a 12-8 record and was on a three-fight losing streak.
Osbourne, a former ranked contender, sparked fan reactions to Gurule`s first professional defeat at UFC Vegas 105, with some fans suggesting it was a necessary `reality check`.
One fan commented online, “Ode just gave Gurule a reality check. I knew it!”
Another fan wrote, “I think Gurule has potential to reach the top 15 someday, but experience is crucial, and Ode Osbourne has definitely earned his stripes.”
Another fan reacted, “Luis Gurule`s undefeated record is gone. Ode Osbourne takes home the win. Wow.”
