Shawne Merriman is eager for a showdown with football legend James Harrison, a matchup that would electrify NFL fans worldwide.
Known as `Lights Out`, Merriman is famed for his power on the field and is a formidable competitor. With a history of knockouts, he`s not to be taken lightly.
Merriman, who has trained with Randy Couture, is keen to demonstrate his fighting prowess to the world, proving he`s as skilled in combat as he was in football.
And he has a specific opponent in mind for this challenge.

Shawne Merriman Calls Out James Harrison for a Blockbuster Fight
While Shawne Merriman built a strong reputation in football, he is now making waves as a fight promoter.
The former linebacker, owner of Lights Out Sports TV, is collaborating with Signature Punch Promotions and ICS to promote a highly anticipated boxing match between Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson and Rashad Evans on April 12 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, USA.
Despite his event promotion work, Merriman, 40, still dreams of fighting himself, and a potential clash with James Harrison is becoming increasingly likely.
In an exclusive interview, Merriman stated, “I don’t mind my fighters or any fighter promoting a fight. For me, being behind the scenes, I usually avoid public callouts.”
“But if James Harrison and Ochocinco (Chad Johnson) are publicly considering fighting, then I have someone who genuinely wants to fight.”
“I believe it would be a fantastic matchup, and fans would love to see these two tough guys go at it for a few rounds. So, I’m putting it out there. I typically don’t call anyone out. I’ve sent contracts to various individuals, including former WWE and football players, even a rugby player—but no one responds.”
“That’s why I avoid social media call-outs, as I still train with many of these guys. I recently trained at Xtreme Couture and frequent Top Rank in Las Vegas to stay in shape.”
“They needed someone to spar with a heavyweight fighter with an upcoming match, and I jumped at the chance. I’ve always loved the sport.”
“The offer stands. If James Harrison is willing, a fight between us would be huge.”
Shawne Merriman: Rampage Jackson vs Rashad Evans is Like Khalil Mack vs Micah Parsons in Combat Sports
While still hoping for a fight with Harrison, Merriman is currently focused on the Rampage vs Evans bout.
These fighters have proven themselves in the cage and are now moving to the ring to settle their rivalry.
Merriman, showcasing his promotional skills, has added intrigue by comparing Rampage vs Evans to a combat sports equivalent of Khalil Mack vs Micah Parsons.
