Mario Piazzon`s dreams of entering the UFC have been severely jeopardized after a stunning knockout defeat at Thunder Fight 47.
The previously undefeated prospect, holding an 8-0 record, aimed to make his mark in the UFC heavyweight division, which has been described as shallow by commentator Joe Rogan.
However, in a shocking turn of events, Piazzon was knocked out by a journeyman fighter with a record of 15 wins and 39 losses on Sunday.
This defeat is a significant setback for the Dana White Contender Series veteran. Piazzon previously competed on the show in September 2023, where he was leading his fight before it was controversially stopped due to an illegal knee.
