Mike Tyson has reportedly received an offer for another boxing match, this time against a renowned figure from the world of mixed martial arts.
This comes after his highly publicized bout against Jake Paul in November, which garnered over 100 million viewers on Netflix. Concerns were raised regarding Tyson`s health following the fight, which had been postponed due to medical issues occurring just before his 58th birthday.
The new proposal originates from the head of Kazakhstan’s Alash Pride League. They are suggesting a fight against a legendary heavyweight from MMA, whom commentator Joe Rogan once hailed as the greatest of all time, despite his career not including fights in the UFC. This fighter is none other than Fedor Emelianenko.

Despite the challenging nature of his recent fight with Jake Paul, significant interest remains in seeing Mike Tyson compete again. As one of history`s most popular fighters, he continues to captivate fans even as he approaches 60 years of age.
Alash Pride FC is aiming to match Tyson with the iconic MMA heavyweight champion Fedor Emelianenko. The promotion is targeting a December event to potentially host this encounter. APL President Alimzhan Bektaev confirmed the plans, stating, “We are planning a bout between Mike Tyson and Fedor Emelianenko. Work in this direction is already underway… The tournament, where we want to invite Mike Tyson, is scheduled for December.”
Fedor Emelianenko Has Discussed Mike Tyson Fight Before
Emelianenko previously showed interest when Tyson made his initial return against Roy Jones Jr. in an exhibition match during the Covid era. That bout was notably successful, selling 1.8 million pay-per-views, and reportedly led to various offers, including early discussions about a potential fight between Tyson and Emelianenko.
During an appearance on The MMA Hour, Emelianenko commented on the possibility in 2023, telling host Ariel Helwani: “We watched the fight on TV of Roy Jones Jr. vs. Mike Tyson. Mike Tyson would be an interesting fight. He has a big name, he’s a legend… It would be interesting because you can see a lot of his videos on YouTube and all over the place, he’s still in good shape. He still works pads, he still has that same power.”
