Leon Edwards’ Brother Shows Support After Sean Brady Defeat at UFC London

Sports News

Leon Edwards continues to receive family support following his first stoppage loss in his UFC career.

The Birmingham fighter was dominated for four rounds and submitted by Sean Brady at UFC London on Saturday night. After losing his belt to Belal Muhammad last summer, a victory in his home country was expected to secure another title shot.

However, Brady demonstrated impressive grappling skills, overwhelming the former champion in a demanding fight that led some fans to leave early. Leon Edwards has remained silent since the fight, but his brother, Fabian Edwards, a two-time Bellator title contender and PFL fighter, shared a message on Instagram Stories expressing his support.

Leon Edwards has chosen to privately process his defeat, refraining from public statements after the fight. However, his brother Fabian posted a brief message on his Instagram story, showing solidarity with his older brother.

Fabian, who understands the pressures of headlining major events and has experienced defeat on a big stage, having twice fought for the Bellator title against Johnny Eblen with his brother in his corner, showed his support.

The younger Edwards shared a photo of himself and his brother on his Instagram story, captioning it: “Always be in your corner.”

Sean Brady Uncompromising After Victory Over Leon Edwards

Tensions were high leading up to the UFC London main event, with Brady and Edwards declining to touch gloves before the fight. Brady`s victory did little to ease the animosity, as their post-fight demeanor remained cold.

“I dominated Leon, won every round,” Brady stated assertively at the post-fight press conference, also targeting Belal Muhammad to push for a championship rematch. “Nobody has ever done it like me.

“Then I submitted him and made him quit in front of his hometown. If we were in Philly, you wouldn’t make me quit in front of my hometown, I’m telling you that. I’m going to sleep, son. So just remember that.”
