Joe Rogan expressed his confusion over KSI`s decision to withdraw from his scheduled fight against Dillon Danis, citing a questionable illness as the reason.
KSI, the YouTube personality and boxer, was set to face Dillon Danis, a teammate of Conor McGregor, on March 29th. However, the entire event, including its undercard, was postponed on Friday night. KSI has been active in boxing since 2018, while Danis, a jiu-jitsu black belt, has limited boxing experience with only one professional fight.
During a recent Fight Companion broadcast for UFC London, Rogan and his co-hosts discussed the KSI vs. Danis situation in relation to Danis`s upcoming MMA fight with Tony Ferguson. Rogan seemed puzzled that KSI, supposedly the superior boxer in this matchup, would cancel the fight due to sickness.

Joe Rogan`s Reaction to KSI vs. Dillon Danis Postponement
In a conversation with Brendan Schaub and Gordon Ryan, a known rival of Danis, Joe Rogan learned about KSI`s withdrawal from the Dillon Danis fight due to illness. Rogan`s initial reaction was bewilderment. He pointed out that KSI is considered the better boxer and should be capable of winning even when not in peak condition.
“How can KSI pull out of a fight with Dillon Danis?” Rogan questioned. “Dillon isn`t a boxer, but KSI is a fairly skilled boxer. He`s quite legitimate for someone of his background; he`s a good boxer. Wasn`t he supposed to fight Tommy Fury, or was that just rumored? KSI seems genuinely capable in boxing – he has boxing skills.”
“But Dillon is not a boxer,” Rogan reiterated, “which is why it`s surprising. You`d think KSI wouldn`t even need to be at his absolute best to win this fight.”
However, after watching KSI`s video statement, during which Schaub jokingly commented on KSI wearing a nasal strip as proof of his illness, Rogan`s stance softened. Rogan then conceded, “Okay, he`s sick, it sounds like it might be genuine.”
Dillon Danis Trolls KSI After Fight Cancellation
Following the postponement, which Misfits Boxing insists is temporary, Danis has aggressively used social media to taunt his opponent. Danis had previously faced mockery for withdrawing from their initially planned fight in January 2023. This weekend, he seized the opportunity for verbal retaliation.

When KSI stated that the fight was merely postponed, Danis retorted, “Olajide, you chickened out. You canceled the entire event. Only little league baseball games get postponed, not multi-million dollar fight cards.” Danis`s point is strengthened by his own scheduled fight against UFC veteran Tony Ferguson at the end of May.
Danis also challenged Logan Paul to step in and replace KSI for a rematch of their unconventional 2023 fight. “I feel sorry for all the fighters on the card and the fans who bought tickets,” Danis posted. “Logan Paul, step up for your boyfriend who`s got the sniffles and let`s salvage the event, and everyone`s time and money.”
