Jake Paul sees the potential `super-fight` between Jon Jones and Francis Ngannou as a fitting conclusion to both their careers.
The controversial figure turned boxer, who also holds an equity stake in PFL (Ngannou`s current promotion), has long admired Jones. Jones, the current UFC heavyweight champion, has indicated he would put his title on the line against his long-time rival.
Ngannou has consistently expressed interest in facing Jones. However, making this fight happen would require unprecedented collaboration between the UFC and PFL. While PFL is reportedly eager, securing agreement from UFC president Dana White appears highly challenging.
Jake Paul Supports Jones`s Callout of Ngannou
Recently, Jon Jones stirred controversy by seemingly dismissing a potential bout with Tom Aspinall, instead using social media to challenge Francis Ngannou. Ngannou is technically the `lineal` UFC heavyweight champion, having left the promotion while holding the title.
This potential cross-promotional clash, long desired by both fighters, quickly reignited interest among MMA fans after Jones`s recent post. The callout came shortly after coach Eric Nicksick suggested Ngannou might be open to returning to the UFC.

Jake Paul, a minor owner in PFL, voiced his support for the inter-promotional matchup via social media.
Paul tweeted that the fight would be “The perfect final dance for the two greatest MMA heavyweights of all time.” He added, “Jon Jones wants it. Francis Ngannou wants it. Big fight for the sport. Big fight for the fans and Big business. Who doesn’t want it?”
Francis Ngannou Responds to Jon Jones’ Challenge
Responding to Nicksick`s remarks, Jones posted, “I’m hearing Francis Ngannou is still interested… now we’re talking. That’s a real super fight. A clash of champions, not just hype.”
Comparing their paths, Jones wrote, “He held the UFC belt, I’ve defended mine for over a decade. Two kings from different roads. Not just one legend facing a mouth that’s hot right now, but two real legacies colliding. That’s the kind of fight that actually adds something special to my story. At least from my point of view.”
Ngannou acknowledged the promotional hurdles, replying to Jones, “You take care of the UFC, I’ll take care of the PFL, and we’ll finally find out who’s the KING OF THE HEAVYWEIGHT.”
