This week, while participating in the ongoing Mutua Madrid Open tournament, several prominent WTA players, including Ons Jabeur, Camila Osorio, Demi Schuurs, Luisa Stefani, and Beatriz Haddad Maia, made a special visit to Real Madrid City.
The tennis stars were welcomed by members of the Real Madrid women`s football team. Among the footballers present were Athenea del Castillo, Caroline Weir, Rikke Møller Jensen, Linda Caicedo, and Antonia Silva. The meeting took place just before the football team commenced a training session.
The athletes from both sports exchanged gifts, highlighting a positive connection between the worlds of tennis and football. This interaction occurred during one of the biggest combined sports events on the calendar.
The 2025 Mutua Madrid Open, where these WTA players are competing, is currently taking place at the Caja Magica complex and is scheduled to conclude on May 4th.
