Stuttgart: Draws | Scores | Order of play

Niemeier demonstrated her resilience with an impressive `tweener` shot in the second set, retrieving a lob from Paolini with a between-the-legs shot that had both speed and angle. Paolini, positioned at the net, was challenged but successfully volleyed the ball for a winner, leveling the score at 3-3.

Paolini`s strong performance during crucial moments of the match proved to be the deciding factor. After winning seven games in a row against a struggling Niemeier to take a 6-1, 2-0 lead, she had to fight off Niemeier`s attempted comeback. Niemeier managed to break Paolini`s serve twice but then made a backhand error on her own set point opportunity. Paolini responded by winning the final three games, showcasing her best groundstrokes of the match.

Paolini advances to her second quarterfinal of 2025 and is set to compete against either fourth-seeded Coco Gauff or German lucky loser Ella Seidel in her next match. Watch highlights of her victory over Niemeier below.
