An MMA fighter with a striking resemblance to UFC star Paddy Pimblett has captured online attention due to his aggressive takedown attempts, reminiscent of UFC Champion Dricus du Plessis.
Frederic Vosgröne, an undefeated light heavyweight competitor from Germany, became a viral topic following his latest victory over the weekend. He made his debut at OKTAGON MMA on Saturday against Jorick Montagnac.

Known for his expertise in submissions like heel hooks and arm-triangles, Vosgröne, a skilled jiu-jitsu practitioner, quickly sought to bring Montagnac to the ground. It took him several persistent efforts to achieve the takedown.
In the second round, Vosgröne secured a victory by submitting Montagnac with an arm-triangle choke, marking his fourth consecutive submission win.
However, it wasn`t the submission itself, but rather the style of his takedown attempts that has become the main point of discussion among fans.
Fans React to Vosgrone`s Style and Appearance
Vosgröne`s impressive physique in the light heavyweight division is hard to miss.
With his long blonde hair, some observers have drawn comparisons between Vosgröne and UFC personality Paddy Pimblett, while others have likened his build to that of former heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar.
One fan commented on social media, “It`s like if Paddy and Brock Lesnar had a child.”
Another fan humorously remarked on Vosgröne`s appearance, “Paddy Pimblett on steroids.”
Vosgröne Employs Du Plessis-esque Takedown Strategy
If one word could describe Vosgröne`s fighting approach, it would be `relentless`.
In the first round, the German fighter demonstrated unwavering determination in his takedown attempts, persistently clinging to his opponent`s leg. This tactic mirrored UFC Champion Dricus du Plessis`s strategy against Israel Adesanya at UFC 305, where he successfully tripped his opponent.
Montagnac momentarily went down to a knee and then briefly limped away from the cage. Despite the initial defense, Vosgröne repeated the maneuver, again seizing Montagnac’s ankle during another takedown attempt.
One fan on social media platform X described Vosgröne`s grappling tenacity: “Bro is like a caveman that breathes grappling. Relentless, He doesn`t even care what`s coming back at him.”
