Forza Motorsport Update Adds Public Meetups

F1 news

Celebrating its 20th anniversary, Forza Motorsport has released a significant update for PC and Xbox Series X|S, introducing features highly requested by the community. The most notable addition is the inclusion of public meetups.

Players can now participate in four distinct meetup modes: two focused on drifting rules and two on racing rules. Both types offer playlists cycling through all 73 available track layouts for their respective rule sets. Furthermore, the drift mode includes a dedicated 24/7 playlist for the returned Fujimi Kaido track, while the race mode provides a constant Nürburgring Nordschleife playlist, perfect for fans of the challenging German circuit known as the `Green Hell`.

The developers utilized this update to implement improvements to the game`s AI, aiming for cleaner and safer driving behavior, particularly during the often chaotic race starts. Users of steering wheels will notice enhanced behavior, although they may need to recalibrate their steering sensitivity settings after applying the patch.

In keeping with the anniversary spirit, the developers have integrated several songs from previous Forza Motorsport titles and added some brand-new musical pieces to the game`s soundtrack.

For fans of the career mode, a new permanent “20th Anniversary Tour” is now available. This tour is structured into seven groups of four events each, totaling 28 outings. One quartet of events will become accessible every week, with the initial leg featuring races on Fujimi Kaido, Maple Valley, WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, and Sunset Peninsula Raceway.

Completing the entire tour rewards players with the 2022 Acura NSX Type S. Additionally, finishing each individual leg of the tour unlocks a new racing suit inspired by different games in the series.

Beyond these highlights, the update includes numerous bug fixes, gameplay adjustments, new challenges, and multiplayer events, enriching the experience for racing fans during this milestone celebration.
