Eddie Hall Weighs In Significantly Heavier Than Mariusz Pudzianowski

MMA news

Eddie Hall and Mariusz Pudzianowski`s combined weight exceeds 600lb, yet a considerable size difference is expected when they face off in the ring.

The two fighters share six World`s Strongest Man titles; Hall secured his in 2017, while Pudzianowski famously won five before transitioning to mixed martial arts. They are scheduled to compete in a long-awaited super-heavyweight bout at KSW 105 in Gliwice, Poland, tomorrow evening.

Hall has undergone significant weight loss in preparation for this fight but intentionally maintained substantially more bulk than Pudzianowski. The Polish veteran has dramatically transformed his physique since his strongman days and can now comfortably meet the 265lb limit for the heavyweight division.

Weigh-in Results for the KSW Super-fight

Prior to their ceremonial face-off, Eddie Hall and Mariusz Pudzianowski officially made weight for their upcoming bout. As they are competing in the super-heavyweight category, there is no upper weight limit, only the requirement to be above the 265lb heavyweight threshold.

Hall tipped the scales at a formidable 151.3 kg (334 lb), making him the heaviest opponent Pudzianowski has ever faced in his career. In contrast, the Polish fighter weighed in at 267lb, which is essentially the minimum weight for the super-heavyweight class.

During his time as a strongman, Pudzianowski would weigh as much as 320lb to support his record-breaking lifts. However, upon transitioning to MMA, he significantly reduced his weight, similar to Hall`s recent body transformation.

Hall Started Camp 40lb Heavier

While Eddie Hall famously weighed over 434lb when he completed a 500kg (1,102lb) deadlift, he has reduced his weight considerably in his life after strongman. He typically maintains his size, walking around at approximately 374lb.

He began his training camp at 374lb but successfully shed around 40lb by following a carnivore diet leading up to tomorrow`s confrontation. Discussing his strategy for retaining size and strength, he stated: “I feel good. The main thing about it is that with my training it’s not about the weight but how fit I am. Am I doing these four minute rounds and being able to recover within 90 seconds to go again? At the minute, I can say yes. I’ve got no intention to lose too much weight because the cardio is there.”
