Eddie Hall Shows Interest in Conor McGregor Fight, Sets Conditions for Bare-Knuckle Debut

MMA news

Eddie Hall is actively searching for his next opponent in mixed martial arts.

After securing a win in a rather unusual 2-on-1 bout last June, `The Beast` originally expressed a desire to compete against Mariusz Pudzianowski.

Approximately a year later, in his professional MMA debut at KSW 105 held in Gliwice, Poland, on Saturday night, Eddie Hall emphatically defeated the five-time World`s Strongest Man in just 30 seconds.

Following the fight, the 37-year-old former strongman discussed the possibility of a rematch with Pudzianowski, who had hinted at retirement before and after suffering his third consecutive defeat.

Eddie Hall Addresses a Potential Conor McGregor Fight

Before his MMA debut, Eddie Hall mentioned a potential bout against former UFC heavyweight champion Brock Lesnar but dismissed the idea of facing Thor Bjornsson again, who had beaten him in a boxing match three years earlier.

Given the significant weight difference between the 336lb Englishman and former dual-weight UFC champion Conor McGregor, a fight between them didn`t appear to be a realistic possibility.

However, during a fan Q&A session shared on his YouTube channel the day before fighting Pudzianowski, Hall stated he would be open to a `freakshow` fight with `Notorious`.

“I would love to fight Conor McGregor,” he admitted.

“I think the weight difference would be absolutely comical.”

“Weight classes exist for a reason.”

“It would be dangerous for Conor.”

Eddie Hall Seeks Substantial Pay for Bare-Knuckle Boxing Attempt

As the saying goes, money is a strong motivator. Nevertheless, it seems highly improbable that McGregor will end his four-year break from fighting to face someone nearly 200lbs heavier than himself.

A more plausible scenario is Hall joining Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship, a promotion where McGregor is a co-owner.

While it would require a substantial amount of money, the super heavyweight athlete is willing to consider fighting without gloves.

Hall added, “I have actually thought about doing bare-knuckle fighting.”

“To be clear, the money would need to be right. I would consider it. I would do it.”

“I love the bare-knuckle fighting scene. I find it exciting and thrilling. I just enjoy watching bare-knuckle fights.”

“Yes, if the money is right, why not? I`d participate.”
