Eddie Hall’s Shift on Fighting Francis Ngannou

MMA news

Eddie Hall has indicated he is open to a potential fight with a former UFC heavyweight champion.

The 2017 World`s Strongest Man recently secured a victory in his professional MMA debut.

Eddie Hall dominated Mariusz Pudzianowski, achieving a TKO victory in just 30 seconds at KSW 105 in Gliwice, Poland, this past Saturday.

Following this victory, he is now discussing a potential future confrontation with Francis Ngannou, who is widely considered one of the premier heavyweights in mixed martial arts today.

Eddie Hall Open to Fighting Francis Ngannou

Eddie Hall acknowledges that he would be a significant underdog in a potential bout against Ngannou.

Nevertheless, he stated he would be willing to step into the cage with `The Predator` provided there was a substantial financial incentive and sufficient time for preparation.

“Bloody hell,” Hall exclaimed when Ariel Helwani asked him about his interest in a fight with Ngannou.

He continued, saying, “You are essentially throwing me in with the wolves by suggesting that. I would need a considerable amount of time [to prepare]. I would require extensive training, and it would need to involve a lot of money. I believe with anything in life, if the financial terms are right, I would consider it.”

“The only scenario in which I would fight Francis Ngannou is after a formidable training camp,” he added. “I would likely want six to nine months of training alongside top-tier athletes in premier camps. And the compensation would have to be substantial because you are quite literally putting your life at risk.”

He candidly admitted, “Francis Ngannou surpasses me in every conceivable way within the fighting domain, but there`s that element of the unknown.”

“If I manage to connect with him,” Hall mused. “If I throw that right hand and it lands precisely on the tip of his chin, it could potentially happen.”

“That`s the unknown variable,” he concluded. “Therefore, I wouldn`t approach it believing I have absolutely zero chance, but it would necessitate a significant financial incentive for me to undertake that and literally jeopardize my life by stepping into the ring with someone of Ngannou`s caliber.”

Eddie Hall`s Blunt Response to Francis Ngannou Rumors

The concept of a fight between Hall and Ngannou was initially suggested by KSW president Martin Lewandowski the previous week.

Following his knockout victory over Pudzianowski, Hall dismissed the talk of a fight with Ngannou in a memorably explicit fashion.

“I would rather undergo an extremely unpleasant experience with the devil himself than fight Francis Ngannou,” Hall stated emphatically, in a widely quoted explicit remark.

“I am not fighting Francis Ngannou; that is simply not going to happen, absolutely not.”

“Let`s just avoid mentioning my name anywhere in the vicinity of his name.”
