Eddie Hall accused of cheating as MMA debut opponent fumes about illegal ‘hammers’ following 30-second KO

MMA news

In his highly anticipated MMA debut on Saturday night, Eddie Hall achieved a dominant victory over a veteran fighter with 27 bouts to his name, making the win appear effortless.

Known as ‘The Beast’, Hall had previously expressed interest in facing Mariusz Pudzianowski after winning an unusual 2-on-1 exhibition match last June.

Nearly a year later, at KSW 105, Eddie Hall faced the five-time World’s Strongest Man and dispatched him decisively in just 30 seconds.

Following his third consecutive knockout defeat, Pudzianowski was seen holding the back of his head after enduring powerful ground strikes. He later took to social media from backstage at the PreZero Arena in Gliwice, Poland, to voice his complaints.

Images from the event captured Mariusz Pudzianowski clutching the back of his head after being knocked out by Eddie Hall.

Pudzianowski Alleges Illegal Strikes Caused Knockout

Pudzianowski reacted to his quick knockout loss to Hall via his Instagram story.

The 48-year-old fighter claimed that Hall`s victory was secured through multiple illegal blows delivered to the back of his head.

“I lost!!! 5 hammers to the back of the head were enough and I blacked out,” Pudzianowski wrote. He added, “A hit to the back of the head was enough!!!”

In his own social media post after his MMA debut, Hall did not comment on the allegations of cheating.

Sharing footage from the fight on Instagram, Hall wrote, “First MMA bout completed.” He also extended his thanks to his opponent and the promotion: “Thank you to @pudzianofficial and @ksw_mma for the privilege. I’ll be back.”

Could There Be an Eddie Hall vs. Mariusz Pudzianowski Rematch?

Immediately after their bout, Hall indicated that Pudzianowski would be his preferred opponent for his next fight.

“Maybe Mariusz will do the rematch with two minutes rounds,” Hall suggested.

He clarified his goals in the sport: “I’ve got no aspirations to be number one in KSW. That’s just not for me.”

Hall stated his motivation for competing: “I want to come and have fun. I want to fight my heroes. I want to fight the freaks of the world.”

Before this `World’s Strongest Fight` against the approximately 272kg (600lb) Hall, Pudzianowski had already hinted at retiring from MMA.

Following such a decisive defeat, the Polish heavyweight did not seem interested in discussing a potential rematch.

“I’m not thinking about the future,” Pudzianowski admitted.

He cited his age as a factor: “I turned 48, almost 49. The sport is for young people.”

When asked about his next steps, he simply concluded, “What’s next? I don’t know.”
