Deportivo La Coruna midfielder Zakaria Eddahchouri is currently under medical observation in a hospital after he fell from a coastal walkway while attempting to take a selfie. The incident resulted in him sustaining minor injuries.
In an official statement released on Saturday, the club, RC Deportivo, confirmed that Zakaria Eddahchouri was hospitalized in A Coruna following an incident the previous day. They reported that initial medical assessments showed the player had minor injuries and was receiving appropriate treatment. The club publicly thanked the emergency services for their swift response and stated they would provide further updates on Eddahchouri`s condition.
According to reports from local media, firefighters and an ambulance were dispatched to the scene during the night after receiving information that someone had fallen onto rocks. It is reported that Eddahchouri was rescued using a ladder before being transported to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
Eddahchouri, who hails from the Netherlands, joined Depor in January. He has since made six appearances for the club in Spain`s second division, scoring two goals. Depor is currently placed 13th in the league standings. Notably, Eddahchouri had played the entire 90 minutes in their recent match against Grenada on Saturday.
