Mirra Andreeva’s remarkable season continues as she secures another win, adding to her already impressive statistics.
The 17-year-old, in her debut at the Miami Open presented by Itaú, defeated Veronika Kudermetova with a dominant 6-0, 6-2 victory in the first match after a bye.
Here are some key highlights from Andreeva’s latest triumph:
6: Currently seeded eleventh in Miami, Andreeva has climbed to No. 6 in the WTA rankings after winning Indian Wells. She now aims to make history as the first teenager to achieve the Sunshine Double by winning both Indian Wells and Miami consecutively.
20: Andreeva leads the WTA Tour in main-draw wins this year, reaching 20 victories in 2025 by defeating Kudermetova. This match, their first encounter, lasted only 68 minutes.
13: Andreeva’s winning streak now stands at 13 matches, all at WTA 1000 events. She is chasing her third consecutive WTA 1000 title, following wins in Dubai in February and Indian Wells the previous week.
